About The Whitetail Guy

I was raised on a farm on North Carolina. I learned early about the importance of hard work and dedication. As a young boy I loved to fish the farm ponds. Squirrel, rabbit, and dove hunting also became part of my youth. But was when my uncles took me deer hunting at 18 that I found my true love. I couldn't get enough.

I devoured every book and magazine I could get my hands on. Later, I started a hunting journal that has lasted over 30 years. I kept a detailed record of everything to help me learn about deer and deer behavior. It proved to be a guidebook to success in tagging big, mature whitetail bucks. My pursuit has taken me to several different states where I was challenged to learn even more about this adaptive animal.

As years passed, I began helping friends and neighbors set up their hunting properties. I was told time and again I should venture out and do some consulting, which led to The Whitetail Guy.
